Today our adventure took us through 4 states. I thought we’d only be going from one to the other. Boy was I wrong.
Out bikes started with not too many issues. Larry’s primary chain was rubbing on the thing that goes over it- so be rode without the cover. But honestly all of our bikes did awesome.
Right away in the day we did hit some rain- however it wasn’t a lot. Just small shorts here and there.
We had some beautiful tree covered roads that had some nice curves for us to ride.
We had a little stop in Paducah Illinois and as we were leaving the parking lot I went straight, Larry went another way and Mike went a different. Unfortunately Mike also pulled a Steve Rinker and tipped his bike. However, if you would see how many times bikes end up on the ground- this wouldn’t surprise you. Just is brake was damaged- and well pride.
Shortly after we left our check in spot we came across a disgusting bridge. It was a long bridge and it was grated the whole way. It made you feel like you have no control over you bike and that if you correct it, you are going down. I’ve rose on grated roses before and this was way worse.
After the bridge we went to see Superman but got lost again… we finally found our way and now I was back with the Butts brothers.
We all made it in with all our points and without getting lost for good
After we got back to the hotel it was time to start working on the bikes. My bike is a little squirrelly so we talked to Jared (actually be mentioned it- he likes to drive my motorcycle) and then he noticed it’s weird when going slow. We thought the rim was bend but it’s actually something with the axel and the bearings around it…. So he tightened it and we looked at it this evening. Jared ended up taking off my front wheel and looking at it and trying to tighten it it doesn’t seem to be fixed but oh well.
On Larry’s bike they adjusted his lifter. Adjusted his chains
Mikes bike adjusting his valve and rocker arm. Replacing his f brake stuff.
