Friday evening to Saturday morning Victoria, TX

There is another support team member on a different team named Randy, he wears bib overalls that are stripped and he has long hair and wears a pink hat. We met him our first night in Sault St Marie. He has been so much fun to chat with and get to know and we all adore him. 

Days ago we started looking for stripped overalls so we could dress like him. We had this great idea of just showing up at one point all of us in bibs and ideally a pink hat. We would all wear our our Team Butts red shirts because Randy also had one of those. 

We had stopped at NUMEROUS stores to find these bibs. Mostly Tractor supply stores. We weee not having too much luck so we had tried buying on Amazon but the further we went into Texas the less likely we were able to get these. FINALLY we stopped at yet another Tractor Supply store and found four pairs of bibs like his. They were close enough in side that we were on board. 

We arrived in Victoria, TX and of course some how Mary knew that Randy’s mom was going to be there. Randy’s hometown is not too far from this stop. 

Mary, Cindy, Mom and I all put on our red shirts, and bibs. We unfortunately couldn’t find pink hats, in any form. We were willing to even have trucker hats. But no such luck. So we wore our team butts hat and put orange tape over team butts and wrote Team Randy. 

We stopped to cheer on the guys as the road in, they laughed at us. We saw Jesse another support crew who looooved our outfits. He got a Team Butts tshirt- but he also helped with Mikes bike. You’ve seen him on the blog before- he’s the Mama tried tattoo guy. We got a lot of looks walking around, but once we found Randy, I think he was slightly shocked! We took a lot of pictures. We met his mom and sister who are absolutely wonderful. We do think that overalls may need to be incorporated into 2023 cannonball for team butts. You can hold a lot with them. Although- we want lighter material- we got hot. 

We found out that Randy was going to be the flag boy on Saturday morning. So naturally we had to wear our outfits and be Randy’s support team for him waving the flag. People in the Cannonball were pretty excited about all of this- as were we. JJ who is doing a little movie on team butts asked us to wear them this evening to do interviews 🤣🤣

The guys are off to McAllen, TX. We have learned that the guys or at least Mike are not comprehending questions we ask. Like is your gas turned on? They will just say yes and not actually know for sure. 

SOMEHOW we managed to get them through the start line yet again.
